Methyphenidate withdrawal
Hey all! I've been more of a lurker here than anything but the time has come for me to post. Is there anyone out there that can give me some tips on how to deal with Concerta (methylphenidate) withdrawal? I've been on a form of a.d.d medication for half of my life and I've currently run out while on vacation. It's going on three weeks since my last dosage and it seems to be becoming more troublesome as the time goes on. You know the deal; things you wouldn't have noticed before are a complete nuisance, there's no hope of me focusing on a single thought (let alone a conversation), my mood is incredibly low (which I've turned to alcohol to cope with.. Hi guys! I'm getting a birthday gift, and I finally have the funds to subscribe to two scientific journals. I know that I'm ordering Neuron (neuroscience articles). However, I'm super interested in psychoactives research, and I'm looking for another journal I could subscribe to that deals with this. I have no clue where to start looking. Obviously, toxicology/pharmacology is good for this, but do you know of any other consistently interesting scientific journals? I don't mind if it's very technical (I study molecular biology, not neuroscience). Hello! I was recently prescribed Ponstan for severe abdominal pain. It's something I've never heard of before which makes me feel a little iffy about taking it. 2 Questions guis
1. Do normal doctor check-up type tests indicate drug levels? I got a blood and yearn test done acouple weeks ago, to check for any general health problems. I smoked meth about a week prior, not knowing I would be going for the tests. Do you think that would show up? 2. Can you actually have shards of meth come out of your skin? Apparenty some of my friends have had this happen in the past, but I found nothing about it on trusty google. I am pretty sure I've found a piece in my arm, but I don't want to keep picking at it incase it's nothing. In high school I used to take adderall all the time and never suffered any side effects. I then go for a year or two hardly taking any, and now when I take them the come down is awful. I get that empty depressed feeling, on top of it fucking up my sinuses. Why is this happening now? How can I prevent an awful comedown? (I can't smoke weed, I get super paranoid) I heard that drinking a 5 hour energy drink about 3 hours after taking the adderall cane help? Something about the L-amp...? Mild and natural for anxiety?
What gentle things do you guys use to relax? I've had a really stressful few days and I need to relax. I have an anxiety disorder. Weed definitely used to do it for me, especially on the rare occasion that I was seriously down/anxious, but it is illegal here and I'm not willing to take the risk right now. I prefer natural things. I like typtophan, lavender, sometimes chamomile... Yoga is also somewhat comforting for me, and meditation sometimes is. Sleep helps. Eating saltwater seafood sometimes helps. I didn't really like 5-htp because it was a little strong for me (it hit me while I was going up a ladder). I had a homeopathic remedy, but it didn't work. Things like acid are way too strong for me right now; I wouldn't take anything more than a very mild hallucinogen. Any suggestions? Thanks. | | Thursday, June 17th, 2010 | 2:11 am

buspirone
hey guys, i just got back from the doctor today and he added Buspirone to my daily meds. I take Paxil and Xanax daily for depression and anxiety and was doing fine i think but now i'm taking Buspirone twice a day as well. Does anyone have any information on this drug? good stuff, bad stuff, personal stories, ANYTHING? I haven't started taking it yet but i'm going to today and after i try and check some stuff out on the net.. just let me know if there's anything significant about Buspirone cuz i don't know anything and now i have a lot of it. thanks so much!! I just got switched from Vyvanse (which i liked, but my goal was to get adderall) to generic pink adderall, 20 mg. From what i've read online these things are bunk. Ive only taken one to test the waters and it didnt do anything except slightly improved concentration, made me HUNGRY, and totally didnt sleep for like 48 hours despite being exhausted...sooo weird. I'm going to try taking 40 tomorrow just to further test it out. Any personal experiences/opinions? Are the orange ones better? Is name brand adderall the best? i want a speedy feeling, i like to feel it kick in, curbed appetite and increased talkativeness..all of which i felt on vyvanse. if only it wasnt so expensive! | | Monday, May 10th, 2010 | 3:23 pm

Perscription pills - weight gain/mixing
I've been perscibed seroquel and prozac, and need some answers. Google was extremely unhelpful, by giving me many mixed answers. I've heard that both of those drugs cause pretty significant weight gain. I've struggled with bulimia for quite a few years, so this is a big issue for me. Haha, I'm pretty sure that any weight gain would completely undo the antidepressant effect, or make it worse. As well, have any of you tried mixing these with your run of the mill 'bad' drugs? does coke really make you skinny? or is it just that the coke makes you not want to eat. adderall
any advice or experience with getting headaches from adderall? I was visiting a friend at her school last night and she regaled me with a story about someone who did shrooms and ended up with The Neverending Nosebleed, which landed him in the hospital. I don't know much about shrooms and I've never done them before...does anyone know why this would happen? According to my pal, the guy had done them before and had no idea why this would happen either. I don't have any knowledge at all of any other substances he may have ingested that night, so if this is too broad of a question I apologize in advance. What would happen if one took adderall and robotussin? If it's a good mix, or rather, not a stupid one, should I take more of one or the other?
